ATLANTA – An unsavory forecast for Saturday prompted officials at the Tour Championship to push tee times nearly three hours, with the first groups going at 8 a.m. ET followed by the leaders at 10:20 a.m.
Thunderstorms and more than 1 ½ inches of predicted rain prompted the move and a short field (30 players) give officials good odds to finish 54 holes before Sunday.
As for Friday, afternoon storms are also in the forecast but the field went off as scheduled with the leaders set to tee off at 1:55 p.m. ET.
