That’s bananas: Caddie fills Dufner’s shoes with fruit

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – In baseball it is tradition to reward a player for a good game with a shaving cream pie in the face. At Oak Hill late Sunday, one enterprising caddie decided to try golf’s version of that celebration.

The caddie, who requested anonymity, sliced up a banana and stuffed the pieces in Jason Dufner’s shoes while the PGA champion was accepting the Wanamaker Trophy.

The bananas likely clean up easier than a shaving cream pie, but it may take some time to get that smell out of his shoes.
