When Tiger Woods moved his Florida residence from Windermere to Jupiter Island, he changed home clubs from Isleworth to The Medalist Club. After his practice round on Friday, it seems he likes his new track.

As Tim Rosaforte reports, Woods broke the course record with a 62, two shots better than the prior record at the Greg Norman design. His back-nine 29 included seven birdies.

Of course, this was just a practice round and the Florida course bears little resemblance to CordeValle GC, where Woods will return to the PGA Tour next week at the Frys.com Open. It’s hard to question the positive impact on his psyche, however.

In 1997, Woods shot 59 at Isleworth the week prior to the Masters. That turned out well.
