AKRON, Ohio – Tiger Woods may have been nickel-and-diming his way around Firestone Country Club with a seven-stroke lead on Sunday, but there’s another five-and-ten which holds more meaning.

With his WGC-Bridgestone Invitational victory, Woods now has five wins this season.

It marks the 10th time in his career that he reached that number, extending his lead over Sam Snead for the most all-time.

Snead accomplished the feat eight times during his career. Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus each won five titles on seven occasions.
