After failing to advance to the FedExCup Playoffs, Brooks Koepka did not mince words.
“I think it’s pretty pathetic that I can’t get through,” Koepka said after carding an even-par 70 Sunday morning at Sedgefield Country Club to wrap up a 74-70 weekend at the Wyndham Championship.
Koepka shared 70th place when he finished his round, well shy of the minimum solo-fourth performance he needed to move inside the top 70 and qualify for next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship.
“Ball-struck it great,” Koepka said. “It’s just all on the greens. I don’t know what the deal is, got zero confidence, can’t putt. I don’t know. There’s going to be a lot of changes here soon.”

He obviously will miss the 70-man playoffs, something Koepka, who posted one top-10 in 16 starts this season after returning from LIV Golf, called "pathetic."

Entering the Wyndham ranking 116th in strokes gained putting, Koepka was 68th out of 81 players who made the cut this week.
Koepka hasn’t participated in the PGA Tour’s postseason since 2021, when he finished 30th in the final FedExCup standings. He qualified for the playoffs every year from 2015 to 2021 but one, missing the 2020 playoffs because of injury.
This year, Koepka posted only one top-10 finish in 16 starts after returning from LIV Golf in January. He did make three of four major cuts, though he missed three straight weekends, at the RBC Canadian Open, U.S. Open and Genesis Scottish Open, as he battled an ulnar-nerve issue.
“Zero top-10s basically in two years,” said Koepka, who had three top-10s in 14 LIV starts in 2025, plus another top-10 on the DP World Tour last year. “To be in the prime of your career and be as good as I think I am, I think that’s very pathetic, disappointing. Just need to go home and completely reevaluate everything.”
Koepka said he planned to play a couple DP World Tour events later this year, as well as “maybe a couple” FedExCup Fall tournaments. He is unlikely to receive a Presidents Cup pick.
He was projected to drop from No. 86 in points to No. 93 when he wrapped play Sunday, though Koepka has full status through 2028 thanks to his 2023 PGA Championship victory.
