RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – I.K. Kim wasn’t hiding from anyone’s questions in her return to the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

Kim climbed the stage in the media room Tuesday afternoon at Mission Hills, took a seat next to LPGA communications chief Kraig Kann and smiled at the assembled media.

“How are you guys doing?” she asked.

The LPGA asked Kim to come in and meet the media, and she accepted without hesitation.

“I applaud you for saying yes,” Kann said.

Kim was asked multiple questions about the 14-inch putt she missed at the 72nd hole of last year’s Kraft Nabisco Championship, a miss that cost her the title.

“It doesn’t matter what happened,” Kim said. “What matters is what you do after . . . You just have to pick yourself up and move on and not feel sorry for yourself. It’s life.

“You have to live in today. We remember good things and bad things. We can live in the [bad] memory. I don’t want to be that person.”
