Tiger Woods won his 82nd PGA Tour event to tie Sam Snead for the all-time record at the Zozo Championship on Monday at the Narshino Country Club in Japan. Fellow players and friends on social media were the first to congratulate him on the feat:
Incredibly happy for @TigerWoods--and for game of golf--on his 82nd @PGATOUR win. For a number of years, all we wanted was to see Tiger healthy again, but for his quality of life. But it's very obvious that the surgery and the hard work Tiger put in resulted in quality of golf!

I think @TigerWoods put it well after the @zozochamp when he said that the body doesn’t allow him to do what he once did, but he can still think his way around a golf course. Congrats my friend! I wish I could shake your hand today, but I’m not sure I could get there in time.😉

Unbelievable week in Japan. First off, congrats to the greatest golfer to play(my opinion) on his 82nd victory. Insane number! Second, the fans were amazing. The support for the event was awesome to see! Excited to return to Japan for many years ahead! @zozochamp
