TaylorMade is taking its Rocketballz technology from the greens to the ice, as it has helped develop a new hockey stick with equipment maker Reebok-CCM. The stick will feature blade technology which the companies claim will be revolutionary to the sport.

In a joint announcement made Tuesday, TaylorMade said the stick will be introduced at the NHL Entry Draft on June 22 in Pittsburgh.

‘Reebok-CCM and TaylorMade share the same passion for delivering high performing equipment played by the most demanding athletes using technical and innovative approaches,’ said Benoit Vincent, TaylorMade chief technology officer, in a release.

Though the relationship may sound bizarre, both companies are held under the Adidas Group umbrella.
