Kuchar, Watney, Mahan join Aussie Open field

SYDNEY – Three U.S. team members for the Presidents Cup have been added to the Australian Open field the week before the International team event at Royal Melbourne.
Australian Open officials said Tuesday that Matt Kuchar, Nick Watney, and Hunter Mahan will join Robert Allenby at The Lakes in Sydney from Nov. 10-13.
Allenby is one of Greg Norman’s International captain’s picks for the Presidents Cup from Nov. 17-20 at Royal Melbourne. The other, Aaron Baddeley, will announce his entry next week, along with one of Fred Couple’s captain’s picks, Bill Haas, a Golf Australia spokesman said.
Tiger Woods, Couples’ other captain’s pick, is also entered in Sydney along with Adam Scott, Dustin Johnson, Couples and Norman.
