Life is good these days for the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.
On Monday night, the Warriors became the fastest team to 50 wins after a victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
On Tuesday, four members of the organization reportedly headed about two hours east – to Augusta National, to make good on a promise made to them by coach Steve Kerr after the team won the title last June.
According to CSN Bay Area, the foursome at Augusta National on Tuesday – a scheduled off-day for the team – included star Steph Curry, Finals MVP Andre Iguodala, team executive Jerry West and owner Joe Lacob.
After the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games to win the franchise’s first title in 40 years, Iguodala told reporters: “You know how everybody goes to Disneyland? We’re going to Augusta.”
Now 50-5, the Warriors need to go 23-4 the rest of the way to post the best regular-season record in NBA history.
