Pepper joins CBS Sports as on-course reporter

Dottie Pepper has joined CBS Sports as an on-course reporter and analyst and will begin roaming the fairways of PGA Tour events for the network in January.

Pepper, 50, won 17 times during her LPGA career including two majors. She worked as an on-course commentator with NBC and Golf Channel from 2004-2012, and she was most recently a golf analyst with ESPN. While she will continue to work in a limited capacity with ESPN next year, she will have a "full slate" of PGA Tour events to cover for CBS, beginning with the Farmers Insurance Open.

"Dottie is one of the most respected and insightful analysts in golf," CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus said in a release. "She has played and covered the sport at its highest levels and her reputation, contacts and relationships within the game are outstanding."

Pepper joins a CBS team that will be without David Feherty next year. Feherty signed on last month with NBC Sports and will appear exclusively on NBC and Golf Channel beginning in 2016.
