The LPGA released its 2027 competition schedule on Wednesday.
The schedule features 33 events (same as 2026), $147 million in total prize money (up $15 million from last year) and as the LPGA described, “smarter routing to increase operational efficiency.”
That cadence is on display within in the first two months of action, as the Nanea Cup, one of three additions to the schedule from last year, will serve as the first leg of the LPGA’s Hawaiian swing. It will be followed by the Lotte Championship, which moves from the fall to the spring as it also finds a new home, at Kapalua’s Plantation Course, which hosted the PGA Tour for decades before being removed from the schedule this year.
The other new events are the Futu Ladies World Championship in Hong Kong, The Classic at Corning Country Club in Corning, New York, and The Championship, a U.K.-based tournament that will bridge the gap between the Evian and AIG Women’s Open in July, replacing the Women’s Scottish Open.
Also gone from the schedule: Blue Bay LPGA and Aramco Championship.
Next year’s major venues will be Memorial Park in Houston (Chevron), Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio (U.S. Women’s Open), Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland (KPMG), Evian Resort in France (Evian) and Royal St. George’s in Sandwich, England (AIG).
Of the $147 total prize fund, non-majors account for $94 million, including the $5 million JM Eagle LA Championship. Also, 10 events are expected to offer minimum payouts to all athletes competing in the field, and nearly 20 tournaments will offer an enhanced player experience with benefits of a hotel, flight and/or transportation.
“Our schedule impacts every stakeholder, but our athletes remain at the heart of how we build it,” LPGA commissioner Craig Kessler said. “Our progress is evident in how our athletes and the entire LPGA ecosystem will move around the world next year, creating more opportunities to rest, recover and ultimately operate more efficiently. The venues we play at matter, and we’re adding even more courses that fans will love and recognize. Our players have earned the chance to compete on these stages, and we encourage fans to tune in to watch them do it. The prize fund reflects the incredible collaboration and support of our partners, who keep recognizing the value of our players. We know our players and fans care about all three of these things, and we can’t wait to keep making even more progress in the years ahead.”
