Spieth sticking with same equipment to start 2016

KAPALUA, Hawaii – During a week defined by equipment changes by many in the field it was worth noting that world No. 1 Jordan Spieth arrives at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions with the same clubs he had in 2015.

Spieth said he tested the new Titleist AP2 716 irons during an abbreviated off-season but they, “didn’t feel comfortable going through the turf,” and he simply switched to a “fresh” set of 714 irons, which he used on his way to five victories last season.
