Tee times moved up with rain, strong wind in forecast

SAN DIEGO – Tournament officials are trying to avoid the worst of the weather Sunday by moving up tee times an hour at the Farmers Insurance Open.

The forecast for the final round at Torrey Pines calls for periods of heavy rain and sustained winds of 35 mph, with gusts up to 50.

The remaining 71 players will play in threesomes off split tees, beginning at 10 a.m. ET.

The final group of Scott Brown, K.J. Choi and Jimmy Walker will tee off at 11:50 a.m., with play expected to wrap at about 5 p.m.
