Bubba Watson has added a Chevy dealership to his off-course portfolio.
Watson is now a partner in Sandy and Bubba’s Milton Chevrolet, in the Pensacola, Fla., area.
“I have purchased 37 cars in 12 years, which I’m not proud of, I guess,” Watson told the Pensacola News Journal. “As I started doing okay on the Tour I started wasting a lot of money on cars.”
Watson’s most famous vehicle purchase was that in 2012, for $110,000, of the original General Lee, the Dodge Charger featured on “Dukes of Hazzard.”
“I hope to bring in different ideas, different events, whatever that comes down to,” he told the News Journal, “so you are going to see me around the dealership a lot when I’m not playing and it will be fun.”
Watson adds this Florida Panhandle endeavor to his co-ownership of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, a minor league baseball team, and Bubba’s Sweet Spot, an ice cream and candy store.
