Brooks Koepka eagles final hole at St. Andrews to wrap up season

Brooks Koepka ended his season on a high note at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday. The 36-year-old was all smiles after sinking a 40-foot putt for eagle on the final hole to finish T-6 on the Old Course at St. Andrews, his best worldwide result of the year.

Koepka’s wife, Jena Sims, posted a video on Instagram of their son, Crew, cheering on his father from a balcony overlooking the 18th green, as he eagled the par 4. The text, accompanying the video on screen, read: “Heck of way to end the season, BK.”

Sims added in the caption of the post: "..and with that, an eagle on 18 to wrap up the 2025-2026 season.”

The eagle on No. 18 was actually Koepka’s second of the final round, as he eagled the par-4 ninth hole on Sunday as well. He finished the tournament at 16 under, four behind winner Adrian Meronk.

While Koepka did not speak to the media after the tournament, his wife appeared to confirm the end of his season on Sunday via social media. The five-time major winner previously called missing the FedExCup Playoffs this year, “very pathetic,” and said at the time that he needed to “completely reevaluate everything.”

Despite Koepka saying at the beginning of August that he would possibly play a couple of FedExCup Fall events, he has full status on the PGA Tour through 2028 thanks to his 2023 PGA Championship victory, so he doesn’t need to worry about playing for his card.

Koepka, who returned to the PGA Tour this season after four years on LIV Golf, made 16 starts with just one top-10. He competed in three events on the DP World Tour with his best finish coming in the finale in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Adrian Meronk secured his DP World Tour membership with a win on Sunday at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championhsip.
