Meet the 2026 European Solheim Cup team, including four captain’s picks

The European Solheim Cup captain rounded out her 12-player squad with four captain’s picks on Monday, a day after eight players earned their spots upon the conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open. Those picks were veteran Leona Maguire, and rookies Julia Lopez Ramirez, Nastasia Nadaud and Mimi Rhodes.

The eight automatic qualifiers were led by Englishwomen Lottie Woad and Charley Hull and included the top two players on the Ladies European Tour’s Solheim Cup points list plus the best available six from the Rolex Rankings.

The highest-ranked players left off: No. 87 Dewi Weber, No. 88 Madelene Sagstrom, No. 91 Ingrid Lindblad and No. 94 Helen Briem.

The Solheim Cup will take place Sept. 11-13 at Bernardus Golf in Netherlands. The U.S. leads the all-time series 11-7-1 and is the defending champion (2024), though Europe has won or retained three of the last four editions.
