María José Marín claimed the women’s individual title at the East Lake Cup by two shots on Monday afternoon.
The University of Arkansas senior and 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur winner now has seven college wins.
She birdied the final hole to move to 5 under on the round. Finishing T-2 were USC’s Jasmine Koo and Kylie Chong and Oklahoma State’s Louise Depadt.
“Most times players teach us more than we teach them, and María has been such a great leader and great person. She has such tremendous work ethic and I’m so proud of the mark she’s left on our program,” said Arkansas women’s golf head coach Shauna Taylor of the 2025 NCAA Division I women’s golf individual champion.
The Razorbacks head to match play against Eastern Michigan during Round 2 in Atlanta.
The men’s individual competition continues live on Golf Channel.
