An attorney for golfer Doug Barron filed a lawsuit in Memphis on Thursdayseeking an immediate injunction from the court to let him play.

Lawyer Jeffrey Rosenblum said there would be a hearing in U.S. DistrictCourt on Friday morning. He said Barron is seeking a decision in time to competein the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament next week.
Barron, a 40-year-old journeyman who lost his tour card three years ago, wassuspended this month for one year. Under its doping policy, the tour announces asuspension but does not disclose what substance a player used.
