Defiant Sergio Still Looking To Catch Tiger

At least one person is convinced Tiger Woods isn’t running away from his rivals.

``It’s great for him. He’s playing well but I know what I can do and I’m looking forward to doing it,’' said Sergio Garcia, who finished seven strokes behind Woods and is still looking for his first major.

``I still think my game’s right up there.’'

Garcia’s 1-over 73 meant he finished 7-over 281 and in a six-way tie for fifth behind Woods, who wound up 14 under. Garcia said he had chances to close the gap on Woods and didn’t accept that the four-stroke deficit he had at the start of the final round was too big.

``No, not at all. If you look at the game, the way I played today, I had my chance. I had a chance of at least making it tight,’' Garcia said.

``It’s been like that all week. Things haven’t gone for me. A couple of putts needed to drop and they haven’t.’'
