AUCKLAND, New Zealand -- Tiger Woods experienced a role reversal Friday when he attended the wedding of his longtime caddie Steve Williams at a resort winery west of New Zealand’s largest city of Auckland.
Williams was the center of attention this time as he exchanged vows with fiancee Kirsty Miller while Woods, wearing a tuxedo, played a quiet support role.
Security was tight around the wedding venue. Unarmed security guards patrolled the vineyard’s entrance and grounds to keep media and curiosity seekers away.
Woods, who will drive a stock car in a celebrity motor race at Huntly, south of Auckland, on Monday, was accompanied by his wife, Elin Nordegren.
Williams is an enthusiastic motor racer when not caddying for Woods.
