Thomas Bjorn and Richard Sterne have withdrawn from next week’s U.S. Open because of various injuries.

They will be replaced by Scott Langley and amateur Andrew Dorn, the first alternates from the Memphis and Springfield sectionals, respectively.

Sterne is still recovering from hip surgery performed in March, while Bjorn cited neck and shoulder injuries.

This will mark Langley’s fourth U.S. Open. He played in the final group Sunday at the Memorial. Dorn, a rising senior at Coastal Carolina, won the 2013 North and South Amateur at Pinehurst No. 2.
