IRVING, Texas – During a Tuesday afternoon player meeting, it was announced by PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem that field sizes will be increased for two fall tournaments.

The Frys.com Open and Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will each be increased from fields of 132 players to 144 amidst growing concern that players coming off the Web.com Tour were having greater difficulties getting starts on the PGA Tour.

Finchem also told players that such measures were examined for a few other fall events, but deemed impossible because of not enough daylight.
