CROMWELL, Conn – Sergio Garcia hasn’t exactly been the biggest Tiger Woods fan over the years, but when asked about his impending return to competition, Garcia said that he understands the overall benefits for the game.
“I think it’s great for the Tour, great for golf,” he explained Saturday. “It’s interesting to see how he is, how he’s feeling. I guess that obviously he wants to be as ready as possible for the British Open and wants to have maybe a little bit of a try.
“It’s obviously very nice to see him come back, and hopefully he stays healthy.”
