PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – LPGA rookie Lydia Ko will make her debut as a tour member in the featured morning pairing Thursday at the season-opening Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic.

Ko, the 16-year-old Kiwi, will play alongside Stacy Lewis, the LPGA’s Rolex Player of the Year in 2012 and Vare Trophy winner in 2013. Lewis and Ko are the highest ranked players in the field at Nos. 3-4, respectively. They will be joined in an 8:10 a.m. tee time by Beatriz Recari, who won a pair of LPGA events last year.

Lewis is no stranger to Ko’s game. They were paired in the final round of the 2012 CN Canadian Women’s Open, when Ko became the youngest winner of an LPGA title at 15.
