UPDATE: Dustin Johnson injured his lower back in a fall down a staircase Wednesday at His Augusta rental home. He hopes to be able to play Thursday. More details here.
Wednesday was a washout at Augusta National Golf Club, but the first round of the Masters now lies just one day away. And when the competition begins, the field will be chasing Dustin Johnson.
Johnson enters as the world’s top-ranked player on the heels of three straight victories. While he opened at 12/1 to win the Masters when odds were originally set after last year’s PGA Championship, Johnson will tee off as an 11/2 favorite according to the oddsmakers at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. He’ll look to become the first betting favorite to don a green jacket since Tiger Woods in 2005.
