The NCAA Division I Women’s National Championship begins this week at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore. BYU, which, as a Morman school, is prohibited by school rules from competing on Sunday, will begin the competition on Thursday. That will count as BYU’s third-round team score. The rest of the 23 teams will play Friday-Sunday.
The top 15 teams through three rounds will advance to Monday’s final round of stroke play, which will determine the eight teams that make it to match play.
GolfChannel.com senior writer Ryan Lavner is on site for both the women’s and men’s competitions and previews the women’s above.
