The Lorena Ochoa Invitational is moving to Mexico City.

Ochoa’s event, played where she grew up in Guadalajara since its inception in 2008, will now be played at Club de Golf Mexico (Nov. 13-16). The club is signed on as host through 2016. Ochoa now lives in Mexico City, where she is married to Andres Conesa Labastida, president of Aeromexico.

Ochoa’s tournament faced challenges after its government funding was unexpectedly pulled a few months before last year’s event. The loss of $1 million in funding caused the tournament to scrap its television plans last year. This year’s event is scheduled to be broadcast on Golf Channel.
