After exactly one competitive start following a 15-month layoff, Tiger Woods has been installed at 20/1 to win the 2017 Masters.
Jeff Sherman of the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook tweeted these selected odds Monday morning:
2017 Masters
— Jeff Sherman (@golfodds) December 5, 2016
J Day 8/1
J Spieth 8/1
R McIlroy 9/1
D Johnson 10/1
H Matsuyama 15/1
B Watson 20/1
A Scott 20/1
T Woods 20/1
H Stenson 25/1
For reference, Woods was 60/1 in August when the Westgate released odds following the PGA Championship. Of note, also, is Woods’ position ahead of Henrik Stenson (25/1). Woods has played once in 15 months and Stenson - The Open, Race to Dubai and silver medal winner - is fourth in the world and playing the best of golf his career.
The odds-on favorites, Day and Spieth are both 8/1, as Day has dropped from his post-PGA position as the solo favorite at 7/1.
Next year’s Masters is scheduled for April 6-9 at Augusta National.
