EUGENE, Ore. – The pairings are set for Tuesday morning’s quarterfinal matches at the NCAA Women’s Championship.
UCLA won the stroke-play portion of the championship at 8-under 1,114 – no No. 1 seed has ever won the national title, on either the men’s or women’s side – and will face host Oregon at Eugene Country Club.
Defending NCAA champion Stanford, looking to become just the fourth team to go back-to-back, will play South Carolina in a matchup of 2 vs. 7.
Southern Cal and Duke, winners of eight of the past 14 NCAA titles, will face off early in the match-play bracket, as will No. 4 seed Washington and No. 5 Virginia.
The semifinals will be played on Tuesday afternoon.
