Watching strangers do things: Nelly Korda cops to observing others in hilarious ‘Sundae Conversation’

LPGA highlights 2026: Maybank Championship, final round
Relive the biggest moments and top shots from the final round of the 2026 Maybank Championship at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, West Course in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Yes. No. Maybe so.

Caleb Pressley’s whip-around interview style certainly put world No. 1 Nelly Korda off balance during her recent visit to “Sundae Conversation” set.

In a four-plus minute clip that was posted Sunday morning, the four-time major Korda almost immediately gets ensnared in the topic of alcohol consumption — and intoxication — on the golf course.

“You said ‘yeah’ and ‘no,’” Pressley pressed Korda on whether she imbibes off the course.

The 28-year-old Korda chuckled before clarifying she does not drink off the course — confirming her passion for hydration and nutrition.

Keeping Korda on her toes, Pressley wondered if she ever owned a pair of binoculars at home vs. the rangefinders used on the course.

And once again, the interviewer scored a point for generating an awkward response.

“I used to spy down on people,” Korda said, mimicking a pair of binoculars over her eyes.

“What did you do?” Pressley responded.

“In the public, walking the streets — nothing else,” said Korda, fighting off laughter. “Not looking into other apartments.”

Golf as an escapism was the next subject broached.

Pressley posited that both NBA and WNBA players leave their spouses at home and play golf as a way “to escape their wives.”

“I think the girls should start playing golf and join their husband — the husbands would love it, right?” Korda responded with a wry smile.

‘Coffee Lovers Club’

Next up was banking, a natural transition from voyeurism and relationships.

Pressley noted it was the first time he had ever seen Korda without her Goldman Sachs hat on.

“If someone is thinking about what bank they should be banking at, what body should they stare at?” he asked.

When Korda responded with “my mouth because that’s what I’m telling them ...”

“I thought you were going to say your hat,” Pressley intrudes.

“Yes, my hat, but I’m not wearing it right now,” cackled Korda, who was wearing a ‘Coffee Lovers Club’ hat during the interview.

The jocular dialogue flipped to personal vices, and Pressley wanted to know if Korda had any she wanted to cop to publicly.

She denied that advance before turning the question on Pressley.

“I thought this was a friendship, you’re learning a lot about me and I’m trying to learn about you,” said Korda, who pointed out she was letting her guard down for the interview in an attempt to be more extroverted.

“I think this friendship could be really beautiful,” she added.
