The oddsmakers in Las Vegas have spoken: They’ve installed Rory McIlroy as the 6-1 favorite at this week’s Masters.
Jordan Spieth’s playoff loss in Houston, and his close call at Augusta a year ago, have trimmed his odds from 10-1 to 8-1, second only to McIlroy. Defending champion Bubba Watson is third at 10-1 as he attempts to win his third green jacket in four years.
Four-time Masters winner Tiger Woods moved from 50-1 to 40-1 after he committed to make his first start since Feb. 5.
It’s worth noting the odds can change during the run-up to Thursday’s opening round.
Here are a few other notables:
Jason Day and Dustin Johnson: 12-1
Jimmy Walker, Adam Scott, Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson: 20-1
Patrick Reed: 25-1
Rickie Fowler: 30-1
Brandt Snedeker: 40-1
