The Quicken Loans National – Tiger Woods’ D.C.-area tournament – will be held at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in 2017, it was announced Thursday.
A PGA Tour event hasn’t been held there since 2006, when the course formerly known as TPC Avenel served as host for the Kemper Open. The course underwent a renovation in 2008 and in recent years has hosted the 2010 Senior Players Championship and 2012-13 Web.com Tour’s Mid-Atlantic Championship.
Woods’ event will be held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in 2015 (July 27-Aug. 2), with the 2016 event returning to Congressional Country Club.
Justin Rose is the defending champion.
