The 10th hole at Riviera measures only 315 yards, but as Scott Piercy showed Thursday it is far from an easy hole.
Piercy was pin-high after his tee shot at No. 10, his opening hole of the Northern Trust Open, but from there things went sideways - literally:
Piercy was a runner-up last month at the Sony Open in Hawaii and entered the week at No. 14 in the FedEx Cup standings, but he appears to be headed for a missed cut in Los Angeles. The opening double bogey was followed by bogeys on Nos. 11 and 12, and Piercy played his first seven holes in 7 over.
