Danny Willett was one of 12 players who earned a Masters berth via the year-ending Official World Golf Ranking.

Willett, who won this month’s Nedbank Golf Challenge to crack the top 50, eked in by the slimmest of margins, while Victor Dubuisson, Jamie Donaldson, Ian Poulter, Joost Luiten, Luke Donald, Stephen Gallacher, Thongchai Jaidee, Steve Stricker, Shane Lowry, Marc Leishman and Mikko Ilonen can all make plans for the 2015 Masters.

The Asian Tour’s Dubai Open was the final event that contributed to the 2014 rankings; there are no other worldwide tournaments on the schedule.

Tommy Fleetwood had a chance to move into the top 50 in the world with a top-18 finish in Dubai, but he missed the cut and finished the year at No. 51 – less than two one-hundredths of a point behind Willett.

Arjun Atwal, who won in Dubai to end more than a four-year winless drought, moved up to No. 432 in the world.
