Here are GolfChannel.com’s Power Rankings, a weekly barometer of the hottest players in the game:

1

Phil Mickelson
Lefty got a little loose with his driver at Muirfield Village and needed 30 and 31 putts on the weekend, but as U.S. Open tune-ups go his game didn’t look too far off.
2

Lee Westwood
Englishman took a week off and still didn’t slide in the ranking. He may still be, however, the best betting option for next week’s U.S. Open.
3

Jim Furyk
Played the weekend at the Memorial in even par but his third victory this season seems inevitable for the fairways speacialist.
4

Bo Van Pelt

A victory eludes BVP but that’s about the only thing he hasn’t done this season. In nine starts he’s finished outside the top 15 just three times.
5

Luke Donald
Backed up victory at Madrid Masters with third-place showing at the Wales Open, a glimpse at what may wait the U.S. Ryder Cup team when matches are played there later this year.
6

Rory McIlroy

Tie for 10th at the Memorial was his first top-10 since Quail Hollow, but steady game (72-68-68-71) is a good sign of his continued development.
7

Justin Rose
Prior to his American breakthrough Rose admitted he felt like the “forgotten man” in English golf. He changed that with an unforgettable Sunday in central Ohio.
8

Tim Clark

Tied for 68th at Memorial, but we remain bullish for the little bull as the Open approaches. He leads Tour in approach shot proximity to the hole, which will work at Pebble.
9

Zach Johnson

Tough weekend at Memorial (73-74), but after record week at Colonial some measure of letdown was inevitable and understandable.

Jeff Overton

The Hoosier joins the list this week and has played well over the past month with three consecutive finishes in the top-12 (T-2 Byron Nelson, T-3 Colonial, T-12 Memorial).
