Mark McNulty, who this year has gained his Champions Tour card, is on the verge of becoming an Irish citizen.
McNulty is a native of Zimbabwe, but has grown weary of the harrassment of the government of president Robert Mugabe. Getting a passport to travel to tournaments has become increasingly difficult in his home country.
He is entitled to become an Irish citizen because his grandmother is a native.
McNulty also has a home in Sunningdale near London, England. He will move to the U.S. shortly in preparation for play on the Champions Tour.
