Say ‘Aloha’ to the first two PGA TOUR events in 2018: The Sentry Tournament of Champions, returning for its 66th edition since its inception in 1953 and the Sony Open returning for its 20th anniversary from Waialea Country Club in Oahu.
The Sentry Tournament of Champions has been held for 20 consecutive years at the stunning Plantation Course at the Kapalua Resort. The course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 1991, it’s a par-73 with three par threes, 11 par fours and four par fives.
The Sentry Tournament of Champions features a star-studded field showcasing last season’s champions in PRIMETIME with Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia & defending champion Justin Thomas at the forefront of the strongest fields in Tournament of Champions history.
The Sony Open will attract 144 of greatest golfers from around the world including its defending Champion, Justin Thomas who last year started off with back-to-back wins in Hawaii. Other past champions include Jimmy Walker, Ernie Els and Vijay Singh to name a few.
