PITTSFORD, N.Y. – It’s official now.
Cristie Kerr, runaway winner of Sunday’s LPGA Championship, will be the first American to be No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings when the newest rankings are out Monday morning.
With a bogey at the final hole, Song Hee Kim finished alone in second place. Current world No. 1 Ai Miyazato finished two shots behind Kim and tied for third. Miyazato needed to finish solo second to prevent Kerr from taking the top ranking from her.
