AKRON, Ohio – Tiger Woods has been called the Mariano Rivera of golf. But even the Yankees closer doesn’t finish ‘em out at the same rate as Woods.

With his win in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, Woods converted a 54-hole lead into victory for the 53rd time in 57 opportunities on the PGA Tour. That includes having a share of the lead entering the final round, as well.

When holding the outright lead with 18 holes to play, Woods is now 42 for 44.
