Brandt Snedeker’s victory Sunday at the RBC Canadian Open may have thrust him into elite company – he’s one of four players this season to win multiple PGA Tour titles – but it didn’t improve his world ranking.

Snedeker stayed at No. 7 in the latest world rankings, a spot behind Matt Kuchar, who finished in a four-way tie for second at Glen Abbey.

A significant move was made by European Tour winner Michael Hoey, who rose from No. 303 to No. 175 after his victory at the Russian Open.

Other notable risers: Web.com Tour winner Kevin Tway, a former Oklahoma State standout and the son of PGA champion Bob Tway, jumped from 570th to 309th; William McGirt, who tied for second in Canada for the second year in a row, rose from 189th to 138th; and Dustin Johnson, who blew a chance to win on the 71st hole, ascended from 25th to 21st.

The top 10 remained largely unchanged, but that likely won’t be the case the next two weeks with a WGC event and major upcoming.

The top 10: Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose (from No. 5), Adam Scott (from No. 4), Kuchar, Snedeker, Graeme McDowell, Luke Donald and Lee Westwood.
