ARDMORE, Pa. – It was a new face on Dustin Johnson’s bag on Thursday at the U.S. Open but a familiar result.
Johnson is tied for 16th after a 1-over 71 at Merion playing with a replacement caddie, Keith Sbarbaro, who is the vice president of Tour operations for TaylorMade-Adidas.
Johnson has had success with Sbarbaro on the bag in the past. The two teamed up to finished runner-up at the 2011 BMW International Open on the European Tour and again later that year at the Australian Open and Presidents Cup.

Johnson’s normal caddie, Bobby Brown, took the week off to be at home with his wife, who just gave birth.
