A disappointing season? Not anymore for Jason Dufner.

After his two-stroke victory at Oak Hill, the PGA champion jumped from No. 21 to No. 8 in the latest Official World Ranking, released Monday.

That’s where he was ranked last December, but he has struggled for much of this season, recording only a pair of top 10s in 17 previous starts and slipping all the way to 23rd in the world.

The highest the 36-year-old Dufner has ever been ranked was seventh, during last year’s FedEx Cup playoffs.

Other notable moves after the PGA: After his third top 10 in a major this season, Adam Scott moved from No. 5 to No. 4; Henrik Stenson rose a spot, to No. 10, after his solo third at Oak Hill; and Jim Furyk jumped from 27th to 21st after his runner-up finish.

Here’s the top 10 in the world heading into the final regular-season event of the 2013 season: Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, Justin Rose (from No. 5), Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, Dufner, Graeme McDowell (from No. 8) and Stenson. Keegan Bradley dropped from 10th to 12th.
