Fans could have a direct impact on who wins this year’s PGA Championship.

For the first time, the PGA of America has opened up a Pick the Hole Location Challenge for this year’s PGA at Oak Hill. From July 23-Aug. 10, fans can go online at PGA.com to vote for one of four hole locations on the 181-yard, par-3 15th hole. Jack Nicklaus, the 1980 PGA champion at Oak Hill, and Kerry Haigh, the PGA’s chief communications officer, have pre-selected the four options.

The winning hole location will be used during the final round of the PGA.

“The chance for golf fans to interact with the PGA Championship and play a role in shaping the outcome of the final round fascinates me,” Nicklaus said in a release. “It’s like being able to call the shots during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl.”
