ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Rickie Fowler, less than 48 hours removed from his maiden professional victory on Sunday at the OneAsia Tour’s Korea Open, was spotted by GTC Tuesday afternoon looking surprisingly rested and relaxed considering how far he’d come since Monday morning.

Fowler boarded a plane early Monday in Korea and, thanks to the international dateline, landed in Atlanta just before noon on Monday on his way to this week’s McGladrey Classic at Sea Island (Ga.) Resort.

“I stayed awake as long as I could (on Monday),” said Fowler, who worked in a friendly round with Lucas Glover at Frederica Golf Club on Tuesday. “I rested on the plane for about two hours, but I didn’t really sleep.”

Still, Fowler didn’t appear run down by the inevitable jetlag that comes with such lengthy trips, “at least not yet,” he smiled.
