ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – John Daly fired an opening-round 66 and was asked later about his eating and drinking habits. He said that since he’s had his Lapband surgery he’s not able to eat as much. He also contends that he doesn’t drink alcohol anymore either.
Asked then if he should no longer be called the Wild Thing, he came up with another nickname that he feels is more appropriate.
‘Mild Thing,’ he said.
