PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Dustin Johnson made a mockery out of the 305-yard par 4 fourth hole Saturday at the U.S. Open.
The long bomber hit 3 iron dead downwind and his ball ended 5 feet from the hole. Johnson converted the eagle attempt to move to within a shot of leader Graeme McDowell.
‘When we designed this hole I didn’t have 3 iron in mind,’ USGA setup man Mike Davis said with a grin.
