PARKER, Colo. – It’s new territory for two of Europe’s 30-something team members.

At 33 years old, Italy’s Giulia Sergas is a Solheim Cup rookie. She spent two years playing professionally in Europe and qualified for the LPGA in 2002 and has played on the tour since. She has not won an event and her career-best LPGA finish is a tie for second place.

“I don’t know how I’m going to feel, but I guess it’s just going to be really great,” Sergas said of the Solheim Cup. “Just live in the moment and see what happens.”

France’s Karine Icher is 34 and playing in her second Solheim Cup. But her first experience was 11 years ago when she played in 2002 at Interlachen. She recorded a 1-2 record that week in Minnesota.

“I feel like a rookie again,” Icher said.
