ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – Players Championship winner Tim Clark just hit the first tee with Michael Sim and Jason Day for a quick practice round on the Old Course. As is the case in most of his pairings, Clark hits the ball shorter than his two companions.
Sim and Day teed off before Clark and both blistered irons down the middle of the fairway. Clark used a hybrid as his club of choice and made a poor swing. His ball never got more than 5 feet off the ground but somehow rolled so far it ended near the other two.
“Perfect,” Clark said with a grin. Around the Old Course, perfect indeed.
