Palmer the eternal optimist

AKRON, Ohio – For those wondering how a guy who has missed the cut in 11 of his last 14 events could find his way onto one of the year’s deepest leaderboards at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational the answer is a half-full attitude.

It is, according to Ryan Palmer’s manager Dennis Harrington, the best part of Palmer’s demeanor.

“He just has the best attitude,” Harrington said before his man teed off with a share of the final-round lead. “The type of guy who can miss nine cuts and come back the next week expecting to play well.”
